James P. Eastman who is known under his stage name, "J. Artiste" (Formerly known as Lyrically iLLz) is a New York City - based Hip-Hop recording artist, songwriter and record producer. He was raised in Jamaica Queens, NY and has gained strong recognition for his cover to B.o.B's hit song "Airplanes - ft. Hayley Williams", which grew viral on YouTube hitting roughly 500,000 views/ downloads in one week before taken down due to copyright purposes. James was born into a family of talent. His grandmother was Mifaunwy Shunatona Hines, the very first Ms. Congeniality and Native American to be crowned Ms. Oklahoma. She was also the founder of the AICH (American Indian Community House) in New York City. His grandfather was Willard C. Hines who was an artist, co-founder of the AICH and a World War 2 veteran. James wears his grandfathers original dog tags on him frequently in honor of Willard. The name J. Artiste derives from his grandfather's signature stamped on all of his paintings "Willartiste".
